Henry Olivares | Midwestern University

The Midwestern University Faculty have proudly chosen Henry Olivares as their May student of the month! In response to his nomination,  Henry said:

“What drove me to perfusion was hearing someone say, ‘The heart beats nonstop, without a break, from birth to death~ Unless we’re in the room.’ That perspective stayed with me. Heart disease runs in my family, and knowing it’s the leading cause of death in America made this path feel like a natural choice. What I look forward to most about perfusion is not only the privilege of learning every day but also the opportunity to teach others and pass on what I’ve learned. Whether as a professor one day or as a preceptor, one of my greatest joys is watching those around me grow alongside me.”

Henry will graduate with the Midwestern Class of 2027! Congratulations, Henry!
